Sarah Durham founded Big Duck in 1994 with the belief that nonprofits would benefit from the for-profit sector’s best branding and marketing strategies. Big Duck is the leading communications firm in New York that works exclusively with nonprofits to help them raise money and awareness. Sarah works with nonprofits of all sizes and missions, including United Way of NYC, National Brain Tumor Society, and the Brooklyn Community Foundation. She was featured as a “Top Fundraiser Under 40” in the February 2006 issue of Fundraising Success Magazine, and is an adjunct faculty member at NYU. Sarah is a dynamic speaker training nonprofit professionals on topics such as relationship cultivation and stewardship, producing cost-effective print and web materials, branding, and the Boards’ role in communications. Sarah is the author of "Brandraising: How Nonprofits Raise Visibility and Money Through Smart Communications” published by Jossey-Bass, an imprint of Wiley, in 2010.
